As do I. :) A cool activity for the older ones is to look for fossils in limestone or identify rock types either after a rain or or after spritzing gravel with the hose. My kids will spend hours searching for brachiopods in our (and their grandparets') limestone gravel driveways. They then bring them home and add them to our random bowls of rocks around the house--which they later use for various sorting and identifying activities--currently our wooden chess board is covered in a pattern of colored and white rocks, which Esther spent half an hour or so doing one afternoon and which everyone enjoys too much to put away.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13735948672915158770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3938616283375694856.post-83553950195470711602009-06-20T06:36:49.509-07:002009-06-20T06:36:49.509-07:00Thanks for the blog comments! You had asked for some feedback on a particular question, but you didn't leave a method to get back to you.

As for the Fiber Festival in Dickson, it's fun! On Saturday morning from 9-12 they will have a sheep shearer there which I think the kids will enjoy seeing as well as all of us fiber lovers. Otherwise, they have lots of fiber to look at, some raw fiber as well as yarn vendors. There will be people spinning, knitting and probably some crocheting being done as well. There are usually sheep and then some rabbits too, if we're lucky some angora rabbits. There aren't usually any alpacas but plenty of alpaca fiber. Come join us, I think you'll find it enjoyable, plus it's free!!Ellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03360333733633267089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3938616283375694856.post-38620767719564066762009-05-16T13:10:00.000-07:002009-05-16T13:10:00.000-07:00Montessori Moments - Thanks for your comment!
